Financial lock down in Rajpura
Rajpura the gateway of Punjab is facing a financial lock down in the city since last 13 days people of Rajpura are facing problems due to that. Because banking not only provide cash but also it is required to smoothly cater the daily needs requirements of the citizens lot of poor and pensioners who have their savings in banks but unable to get it because they do not have ATM. Lot of shopkeepers are unable to order daily needs as they depend on banks only for sending money to suppliers through RTGS and NEFT. So it is my request to the administration to give the citizens of Rajpura some financial independence so they can use their hard earned money and financial assistance they are receiving under various govt. schemes.

Yes Bank a lesson for the public and government

Yes Bank has become a new name to demolish private sector banking as of now as people has shifted from public sector banking to private sector banking due to their efficiency but such incidents have breached the trust of people and people are losing their faith from the banking industry.
This is a very serious issue and people do not find their money safe any where if incidents like PMC and YES BANK continues to happen in Indian banking industry. I am listening a statement of a customer of Yes Bank who was so fed up with this incident that he taken a decision to withdraw all his savings from banking industry. This is a small incident but a big massage if this happens and continue to happen all the banking industry and financial system will collapse so Govt should take strict measures to stop repetition of such incidents  to boost the moral of general public. If the faith of public continues to be broken again and again people will stop trusting any public or private sector bank.  people keep their hard earned money in these banks because they have a faith in government not these banks.

How does FASTag calculate charges for round trip ?

FASTag is designed to pass the benefits of round trip savings automatically.
Toll charges are different for a single trip (i.e pass a specific toll once) and for a round trip (i.e passing a specific toll plaza twice in the stipulated time). This is how it is calculated.
If the round trip happens within the stipulated time (it varies from toll to toll), then the FASTag automatically deducts only the difference during the return trip. For example, if single trip costs Rs. 30 and a round trip costs Rs. 45, then the following happens
  • The first time a customer crosses the toll, Rs. 30 is deducted from the FASTag.
  • When the customer comes back, then the difference between Rs. 45 and Rs. 30, which is Rs. 15 is deducted.
  • If the customer crosses the toll again, then s/he is charged Rs. 30.
The stipulated time period might vary from toll to toll.
  • Some tolls have a 24 hour period from the time the customer crosses the toll and comes back
  • Some tolls have a cut off time at 12 midnight
  • Some tolls have a cut off time at 12 noon
Not only does FASTag save time and cash problems during travel, but it also gives the benefit of savings calculated automatically. Get your FASTag now !!

Ayushman Bharat Yojana

Ayushman Bharat Yojana

Ayushman Bharat Yojana or Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PMJAY) or National Health Protection Scheme is a centrally sponsored scheme launched in 2018, under the Ayushman Bharat Mission of MoHFW in India.

Ayushman Bharat consists of two major elements.

1. National Health Protection Scheme

  • Ayushman Bharat-National Health Protection Scheme, which will cover over 10 crore (one hundred million) poor and vulnerable families (approximately 50 crore (five hundred million) beneficiaries) providing coverage up to 5 lakh rupees ($7,100) per family per year for secondary and tertiary care hospitalization.
  • Benefits of the scheme are portable across the country and a beneficiary covered under the scheme will be allowed to take cashless benefits from any public or private empaneled hospitals across the country.
  • It will be an entitlement based scheme with entitlement decided on the basis of deprivation criteria in the SECC database. It will target about 10.74 crore poor, deprived rural families and identified occupational category of urban workers' families as per the latest Socio-Economic Caste Census (SECC) data covering both rural and urban.
  • One of the core principles of Ayushman Bharat - National Health Protection Mission is to co-operative federalism and flexibility to states.
  • For giving policy directions and fostering coordination between Centre and States, it is proposed to set up Ayushman Bharat National Health Protection Mission Council (AB-NHPMC) at apex level Chaired by Union Health and Family Welfare Minister. States would need to have State Health Agency (SHA) to implement the scheme.
  • Covering almost all secondary and many tertiary hospitalizations (except a negative list).

Think Before Linking PAN with Aadhaar

The government has issued instructions to resident and non-resident Indians to link their PAN Cards with Aadhaar and those who do not link their PAN Cards with Aadhaar will not be able to file or e-file their IT Returns for the AY 2017-18 and onwards. Keeping in view the general difficulties being faced by the public the government, in consultation with webmasters of UIDAI and Income Tax E-filing websites, has simplified the procedures to Link the Pan Card with Aadhar.

Which ID Proof is Most Reliable in India
No doubt it is just a less than one minute job and anybody holding valid PAN Card and Aadhaar Card can do it within a fraction of a minute. But, beware - you should not use the above Link provided by the IncomeTax E-filing website in haste lest you may land yourself into trouble. However, if you are already e-filing your IT Return and there are no issues with 26AS or IT Returns filed by you so far then you can use the above link fearlessly. But the individuals, who have never filed their IT Returns in the past must do the following tests:

  • Register on the e-filing website of Income Tax
  • If registration process says that "This PAN is already registered. If you have not registered, please contact 180042500025 (Not Working) as I tried it.
  • Your Problems starts here.
  • Now you have no alternative but to use the forgot password facility and generate the OTP through your new email ID and Mobile Number.
  • After the generation and filling of OTP through email and mobile - the system will ask you to verify your TDS details through TAN details of deductor. If there is no Tax Deduction in your case, I fear you may not be able to take control of IT Profile associated with your PAN Number which might be being used by some other namesake as that of yours.
  • In case you are able to reset the password - there is every possibility that the other person, who is using your PAN Number - wrongly allotted to two different individuals, may cancel the password reset request as the Income Tax website sends emails to both the email IDs - that is email ID of person already using the PAN Card profile and fresh email ID provided by you.
  • In one such case, one of my friends submitted the password reset which is activated by Income Tax website after 12 hours and the email goes to the previous email ID using the profile and the fresh email ID, who wants to take control of the profile.
  • It is just like two twins with same DOB and same names fighting for one wife. Only the parents of the wife can tell who is the original husband of their daughter. Here the parents are NSDL, UTIISL and the Income Tax People - who will decide as to whom the PAN Card belongs.
  • In the above case of my friend, the other twin cancelled the password reset request 5 times and my friend was deprived of his right to view his 26AS and enjoy filing my IT Return.
  • Then my friend played a trick. He sent the Password Reset Request at about 11 PM on the night when the other twin might be sleeping. My friend woke up early in the morning to catch hold of his legitimate wife that is same PAN Number allotted to two different persons. Lo, the parents allowed the wife (PAN Number being used by Other Twin) to go with my friend and now he had full access to the IT Profile.
  • Immediately without checking any other details - the friend linked the PAN with his Aadhaar which got completed successfully. Now legally speaking my friend became the true husband of the wife (PAN Card Associated Profile) who was living with his twin for the last more than 10 years and his twin was left helpless.
  • But during the last 10 years, the twin of the friend had e-filed so many IT Returns which could be seen in the profile along with Income Tax Notices. Now it was my friend's turn to face the problem to bear the burn of bringing up the children born out of the live-in relationship of my twin and my wife.
  • Now my friend was left with no alternative but to re-handover the wife to his twin so that they could live in happily and my friend is now in search of new wife (Fresh Different PAN Number and not Shared PAN Number)

What Happens when Same PAN Card is issued to two Different Persons:

There is every likelihood that you might be sharing your PAN Number with some other Person. You will have to pass through the above dilemma - and I am still searching for the solution. However, if you decide to apply for a fresh PAN through your Aadhaar authentication then you will have to loose are your Tax Credits so far and you will have to go through submission of New PAN Number to your Employer, Banker or Tax Deductor.

What happens to Multiple PAN Cards:

I have seen people having multiple PAN Cards either out of ignorance or to cheat the Income Tax Authorities and Bankers as CIBIL Reports are generated through PAN Numbers. Now the Government has taken a step in the right direction to get rid of multiple PAN Cards issued to same Persons as after linking one of your PAN Card with Aadhaar, the other PAN Cards will get automatically cancelled and the multiple PAN Cardholder will not be able to get Tax Credits, if any, associated with the other PAN Cards in addition to penalties.

Still, have any doubts, meet this Expert with Prior Appointment.

We are pleased to announce that we are soon starting visiting the cities of Patiala, Sirhind, Khanna, Ludhiana, and Chandigarh as we are flooded with inquiries about Analysis of Bad CIBIL Reports from residents of these cities.

We were really perturbed to see that people from far-flung areas as far as Amritsar, Ludhiana, Khanna, Chandigarh, Patiala, and Sirhind visited us with their bad CIBIL reports due to technical errors, misreporting or ignorance about Credit Score and Rating by credit rating agencies like CIBIL, Equifax, and Experian. The visitors had to spend heavy expenses on travel from their native places in addition to the loss of precious manpower and time. Realizing the difficulty being faced by the existing or prospective borrowers, we have come out with the idea of visiting the hometowns of such borrowers.

To implement the idea, we invite CA's and Professional Accountants to express their interest to favor their own clients, who are facing CIBIL report related problems. On completion of the tie-up arrangements for the cities mentioned above, our leading CIBIL Consultant will be fixing weekly or fortnightly days to visit these cities.

How to Respond IT Notice on Cash Txn during Demonetization

Did you receive an email or SMS from the Income-tax Department (ITD) recently? The ITD has started contacting those individuals whose bank accounts have witnessed transactions related to cash deposits between November 9 and December 30, 2016. If you haven't yet been contacted by the ITD, you can voluntarily check too. This communication, however, need not be construed as an I-T notice.

Submit your response online (Last Date is 15th February, 2017)

Instead of visiting the I-T office, the taxpayers can submit online explanations by logging on to the e-filing website ( https://incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in ) using one's credentials. Even if you have missed the deadline of 15/02/2017 still you can respond as it is better to be late than never.

If you haven't registered yet, do so by clicking on the 'Register Yourself' link. Registered taxpayers should verify and update their email address and mobile number on the e-filing portal to receive electronic communication. Some cases will be selected for verification based on risk criteria. If a case is selected for verification, the request for additional information and its response can also be communicated digitally by the ITD and the taxpayer respectively.

Again, the response of the taxpayer will be assessed against available information and in case the explanation for the source of cash is found to be justified, the verification will be closed without any need to visit the I-T office.

Where to look for cash transactions details

Once logged in, the Permanent Account Number (PAN) holder can view the information using the link "Cash Transactions 2016" under "Compliance" section (at the top panel) of the portal.

The details of transactions related to cash deposits between November 9 and December 30, 2016 will be displayed, showing bank name, account number and amount.

How to Respons
The taxpayer can respond in two steps. First, the taxpayer needs to confirm that the bank account relates to his PAN. Further details are required to be provided in the second step only if the taxpayer confirms that the account relates to him.

Confirming the bank account

The user has two options:

The account does not relate to this PAN:

If the user selects this response then "Your feedback will be sent to the information source for confirmation" will be displayed. On clicking the submit button, the success message along with the transaction ID is displayed on the screen.

The account relates to this PAN:

If the user selects this then the screen showing transaction details will be displayed to the user.

Here, you can see: Cash deposit in the account between November 9 and December 30, 2016 (as reported) - Rs X

The row below will show: Cash deposit in the account between November and December 30, 2016 (as confirmed by you) - Rs Y

You can even modify the actual amount deposited, i.e., as confirmed by you.

At this stage, you will have to provide the explanation for the transaction. The screen helps you identify one:

*Cash out of earlier income or savings     *Cash out of receipts exempt from tax
*Cash withdrawn out of bank account       *Cash received from identifiable persons (with PAN)
*Cash received from identifiable persons (without PAN) *Cash received from unidentifiable persons *Cash disclosed/to be disclosed under PMGKY

If you have any doubts and hesitating from providing the true information to tax authorities, our experts as Samadhan Kender will explain you and help you to submit your response to get rid of the IT Notice. But you have to legally prove the source of cash deposited in your account wef 09/11/2016 to 31/12/2016.

Income Tax Deptt Keeping Vigil on Cash Txns!

Do you know that IT Department is monitoring Cash Transactions?

With the demonetization of 500 and 1000 rupee notes, the Prime Minister, Narender Modi has given a hard blow to the corrupt and hoarders of black money. But demonetization alone is not the solution to curb corrupt practices and black money as people again find ways and means to evolve escape routes to befool the Income Tax authorities. To get rid of black money and corrupt practices, the government not only needs to be vigilant 24x7x365 but also make provisions for harsh penalities like imprisonment so that no one can think of corrupt practices and everybody is forced to be honest in dealings. While I will be discussing a few suggessions to take steps so that now onwards there is no creation of fresh black money. As of now the IT authorities appear to have taken step to keep vigil on cash txns through income tax website. New Menu with "Accounts with Cash Transaction" has been added in the Income Tax efiling and all your cash Transactions in Accounts with valid PAN Number will be visible in the menu.

Suggessions to Curb Black Money:
  • There is no system that doctors give digitalized receipt for the treatment and prescription given to the patients. Government should make it compulsory to register the patients online through Aadhaar ID and accept payments only through Digital Platforms.
  • Similar guidelines should also apply to Lawyers, Architects, Contractors and there should be complete ban on acceptance of Cash Payments by professionals.
  • Biggest source of black money is real estate and registrars enable the transfer of property at lower price whereas the actual deal is many times the transfer price. This facilitation not only causes loss of stamp duty to the state governments but is the biggest source of corruption as facilitators i.e. registrars, tehsildars and the connencted people get their share from the beneficiaries i.e. sellers and purchasers. Let the Government devise ways and means to plug the loopholes in the system.
  • The law enforcing machineries must set an example for the public in general and they should not find favors to favor the law breakers. In this category all vigiliance authorities like Income Tax, Police, CBI, Licensing Authorities, Jail Authorities, Judiciary must set an example before the public and they must command respect from the public by leading clean and public friendly life.
  • Politicians should be easily approachable by the electorate and they should maintain grievances registers to follow up the grievance redressal mechanism of the concerned department.
  • Harsh law need to be formulated so that anyone is to think twice before resorting to corrupt practices or commiting any economic offense.
  • If economic offences are brought to "Zero Tolrence" level then there will be big fall in other crimes and economic offences lead to money power translating into muscle power and crimes against the society.
  • Government should bring down the rates of taxations so that more and more people opt to pay taxes happily. Government will have to take risk by making a start.
  • Agriculture is not taxable where as defence forces salay is taxable as a common man. Government must abolish the taxation immunity to the agriculture sector as big bigs park their black money in agricultural sector. Government can, if it wants to, keep the small and marginal farmers out of tax bracket.
  • All those entities, individuals or legal entities, who make cash transactions to befool the revenue authorities, should be heavily taxed in such a way that they are not able to create black money through cash transactions.
